The County Council has prepared a draft Code of Meeting Practice which conforms with amendments made to the Local Government Act 1993.

Before adopting a new code of meeting practice, under section 361 of the LGA, councils are required to exhibit a draft of the code of meeting practice for at least 28 days and provide members of the community at least 42 days in which to comment on the draft code. A copy of the draft code is available via this link 

Members of the community can make written submissions until the 11 April 2025 to General Manager, Upper Hunter County Council PO Box 6 Muswellbrook NSW 2333.

The County Council has prepared a draft Payment of Expenses and the Provision of Facilities Policy which conforms with amendments made to the Local Government Act 1993.

Before adopting a new Payment of Expenses and the Provision of Facilities Policy, under section 352 of the LGA, councils are required to exhibit a draft of the Payment of Expenses and the Provision of Facilities Policy for at least 28 days. A copy of the draft code is available via this link
