The County Council has prepared a draft Code of Meeting Practice which conforms with amendments made to the Local Government Act 1993.

Before adopting a new code of meeting practice, under section 361 of the LGA, councils are required to exhibit a draft of the code of meeting practice for at least 28 days and provide members of the community at least 42 days in which to comment on the draft code. A copy of the draft code is available via this link 

Members of the community can make written submissions until the COB 5 January 2026  to General Manager, Upper Hunter County Council PO Box 6 Muswellbrook NSW 2333.
